Well, I am wrapping up my Unit 4, and I can say so far I've had a good ride. I have enjoyed practicing some skills I already had and learning some new ones. Before I show you my before and after photos I must tell you I am a fan of the Pixlr vintage effects. :)
I also like using programs for different things. I like the tuning features in Picasa but HATE the cropping feature, so I use Pixlr or another editor for that.
I attempted to use Aviary but kept getting a weird script error when I tried to upload a photo, so I stuck with Microsoft Picture Manager, Picasa, and Pixlr as my editing programs for these photos.

So, I am apparently awful at saving things in stages. The original for this is missing. The original was very dark so I played around with tuning in Picasa and lightned it using fill lights and highlights - that is the photo on the left. The photo on right has the Hagrid effect on it via Pixlr. The effect is a little oversaturated but I like how Dylan's hair color is similar to the background.
The photo on the left is the actual original. I like the photo but it is too dark, so I used Microsoft Picture Manager to brighten it. I just used the autofix button and it lightened it right up. I could still improve the photo but I wanted to show how one quick edit can make a big difference in the look of the photo.
